Concentrates are a high percentage extraction (40%-99%) of cannabis plants, to single out cannabinoids for medical benefits, to yield stronger medications or simply yield a more desirable product. Concentrates are made in many different ways ranging from solvent based extractions like BHO (butane hash oil) or CO2 (Carbon dioxide hash oil), to 100% solvent-less Rosin. The most popular cannabinoids targeted for extraction are, THC, THCA, THCV, and CBD

Butane Hash Oil (BHO) – BHO or butane hash oil is a concentrate that is made by blasting high pressure liquid butane through cannabis in a high-pressure tube with a screen over the end. The result is a watery consistency concentrate that is then placed into a vacuumed sealed oven, where the butane is then sucked or “purged” out. Leaving behind a high stability concentrate.

CO2 Oil – CO2 is a concentrate made in a closed loop super-critical extraction machine. It is then rapidly cooled and pressurized to cause the CO2 to reach a state where it has both gaseous and liquid properties. It is then sent through the cannabis flower, extracting and separating the cannabinoids from the plant material. The result is a very pure, clear concentrate.

Rosin – Rosin is a type of concentrate that is made without ever introducing a solvent. It is made by using heat and pressure only to extract the cannabinoids, terpenes, and lipids from cannabis. The heat and pressure allows the cannabinoids in the plant to turn into a liquid and separate from the plant material. Yielding the most raw form of concentrate made today.
